Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

The battery died, so I replaced it. it works well enough, but if I leave it turned off and unplugged for a day, the batter will be completely drained. I left the charger unplugged for a number of days, unintentionally, and wen I restarted I received a CMOS message that was only up for a moment and I wasn't able to read it. Now, the battery charging light blinks 5 times, pauses, then the cycle repeats. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the ACPI Device controller, but no change in the blinking light. Any thoughts?
