hp pavilion 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, need some help from you guys, have a hp pavilion 15-n096ea which has been working flawlessly up until now. Tried turning it on today but without any joy, the cap locks led was flashing 3 times in intervals, I looked this up on hp site which indicates that it's a ram problem. So my question is has anyone I countered this problem? And if so what sort of ram should I replace the current modules with. If u can leave links to the sticks that would be great. Thx again for looking and comment ing

Hate to crash the party but it is actually more likely to be the motherboard. Can't you borrow a known good memory module or better yet try to remove one module at a time and try turning on with a single module in both slots. Hate to see you spend money on RAM you do not really need.

Before you could purchase the RAM could you also try to reseat the processor since 3 beeps indicate that the Processor is not installed ( not an indicator of a bad processor ).

Just a quick update, took one of the RAM moduales out and switched the laptop on and it booted up. So it was a RAM stick that was causing all the problems. Will order a new stick today to replace the faulty one. thxc for all your help guys
