Hello
Having changed my hard drive to SDD to gain speed, I no longer have the MediaSmart software.
Could you help me find it, thanks.
I cannot reinstall it by copying it from my old PC.
I saw several things on the internet, but it doesn't work.
It would be a priori SP 45691.
I installed WIN10, the PC is working fine.
Before changing the player, MediaSmart was installed and working correctly under WIN10.
Thank you for your help.

Hello
you could not create an image of the old damaged disk ..
The computer is no longer supported at hp, so nothing is available!
Then sometimes what worked in upgrade I guess it did ..
cannot be reinstalled if windows 10 has been reinstalled completely
"I saw several things on the internet, but it doesn't work.
at the risk of repeating ourselves for nothing, a little summary would be practical!
Try in case what is available with this model
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv7-4100-entertainment-notebook-pc-seri...
(just for the software in question)
ex:
HP MediaSmart Webcam Software | 4.2.3303 Rev. | 141.7 MB | Dec 3, 2010 | Download |
For the installation right click run as administrator this may be important
otherwise, you will have to find an alternative software, see a windows 10 app

Hello Prometheus (Level 15)
I resume the chronology of my problem.
1 - My HP Pavilion dv7 notebook 2220sf pc was originally under Win7, with all the HP system and these files running.
2- I updated under Win 10, when Windows offered it, and it worked fine, very slow, but since I was only using it for an extra computer and for making videos or on vacation this fit me well. Everything worked correctly including the HP MediaSmart software.
3- Following several discussions on different forums, to speed up its operation, I decided to buy an SSD, which would significantly increase the operating speed, which is true.
4 - In order to start again on a sound basis, I opted for an installation from a WIN 10 usb key on the new SSD.
5 - The installation went smoothly. The PC starts up faster, I installed different software for the guitar and it was okay.
And it was when I wanted to install the HP Media Smart application that I obviously realized that it was no longer on the PC.
6- Since I had the old drive, I tried to recover all of the HP files and install them on my new hard drive, but, it didn't work.
Also while performing various installs, I ended up making a mistake and erased many of the HP files that were on my old hard drive including the MediaSmart file.
7- The camera works with Windows software, but the video is very bad. The pictures are not pretty. I have tried some software found on the net, but the result is no more satisfactory than with Windows software.
That’s why I would have liked to find MédiaSmart.
My post is a bit long, but, I wanted to be, as clear as possible, I hope it is.
I tried :
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv7-4100-entertainment-notebook-pc-seri...
(just for the software in question)
Nothing worked, the software seems to have installed, but nothing starts.
Same for me :
HP MediaSmart Webcam Software
4.2.3303 Rev.141.7 MB Dec 3, 2010 Download.
I remind you that on the new Disk, there is nothing left from HP.
Thank you for your help.

I tried, nothing to do, but I don't have a laptop.
I tried to force the installation and it tells me that I do not have an HP system lol
If I install the file normally, I just have a request so well installed, out, nothing happened, the software does not actually install
I don't know if there is more recent
But maybe it is necessary to install the suite in a particular order, or some elements at least
have you tested hp cyberlink?
it seems to me to have tested under windows 10 and it worked
the functions may not be the same, but if no other choices
