Good afternoon. I'm interested in the question of whether I can find out what the latest version is available for my BIOS in order to update it. Since the panel says that there are no drivers for my device. Where can I find a list of BIOS versions so that I can update my version if I want (need). Thank you.

Hi, @Sacmper
Below is the link to the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook's model series:
F.66
Info link:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-61000/sp60864.html
Exe file link:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-61000/sp60864.exe
Note that the BIOS update file can only be run in Windows, and it was written to be run on Windows 7 or Windows 8.
I do not know what will happen if you try and update the BIOS when running W10.
It may work fine, or it may wreck your notebook, so you will have to decide if the risk is worth it or not.
If your notebook is running fine, I would not risk updating the BIOS purely to have the latest version.

I used hwinfo.com (portable version, a single small file)
It will tell you EVERYTHING about the internals of your computer.
In the motherboard section, it will show you the version and date of the currently installed BIOS, then check HP for the latest (and previous) versions for your model.

that is strange, I tried without the 'sa' and that too says no drivers. I've never seen any model with no drivers.
I'd try to wipe the drive, reinstall Win11, then maybe Windows update will find everything you need. Those drives may be built into the Windows ISO

Good catch, I didn't think to look for Win7/8 dropdown.
I've flashed BIOS from older OS without issues. Saying that, there is always a first time for problems.
I'd recommend anyone updating ANY BIOS to make sure they have a backup of their user data. I don't worry about Windows or apps and those are usually outdated anyway and in the event of a major issue, I'd install a newer version of Windows and the apps anyway, then finally restore the user data.
Caution: during the BIOS update, it may offer the user the option to backup the current BIOS version, select that, just in case

There are no drivers for any OS available on the HP link.
There's nothing to select such as W7/W8.
You just get a page that indicates no drivers, and it ends there.
HP retires support for all consumer class PC's that have reached the 10 years of age point.
A while back we were informed that we can't post links to drivers from 3rd party websites, even ones that I know to be fully reputable.
So, how I got to those files was by going to my favorite 3rd party website, DriversCollection, and find the g6-1186sa drivers there.
They provide the file number, but it is downloaded from their website, not HP's.
So, I had to find a HP business class PC that had drivers within that sp60501-61000 range, substitute what I found with sp60864, so the files could be downloaded from the HP FTP site.
This afternoon, I am going to address this matter with the HP forum admin staff, 'cuz this is getting ridiculous.
Something has gotta give.
A lot of folks on this forum are not happy that they can't find drivers for their older PC's anymore, and I don't blame them.
HP makes the decision to retire consumer class PC support at the 10-year mark, and we can't post known safe drivers from 3rd party websites.
It's a catch-22.
