The g6-1300 model series only supports the Intel 2nd gen core processors.
Chapter 1 of the service manual has the list of supported processors:
You can upgrade to the Intel® Core™ i7-2640M processor.
You need a g6-2xxx model series notebook with an Intel HM76 Express Chipset to run an Intel 3rd gen core processor.
