pavilion gaming desktop 690-0020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello hp community,

I was wondering how to upgrade Ram for the pavilion gaming desktop 690-0020.

On hp's website it says that I can upgrade it to 32gb of Ram but it also says that it only says it accepts 4 or 8gb. So how would I be able to get the Ram to 32gb if I only have two spots for Ram and If it only accepts 4 and 8gb of Ram?

Another question is that the Ram it tells me to upgrade to is labeled with 1Rx8 and 2Rx8 memory. What is the difference between them and can I put a 1Rx8 with a 2Rx8 in my computer. Would either help get up to 32GB?

 Thanks,

Its specs

It has 2 slots of RAM and supports 32GB (2 x 16GB) max using Supports PC4-19200 (DRR4-2400) RAM. You can use the following compatible RAM (RAM will run at 2400MHz)

I don't know why it says "Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 UDIMMs",  and then "Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers" could be a typo mistake.

Regards.
