Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook's model series.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
According to chapter 1 of the service manual, it can support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.
If you want to see if your notebook can support more than 2 x 8 GB of memory, you can do this:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
PCIe Generation:
Since notebook processors are integral parts of the motherboard, you can look up the PCIe generation by going to the AMD or Intel site and look up your processor specs.
Your notebook has an Intel® Core™ i5-1155G7 processor.
Intel Core i51155G7 Processor 8M Cache up to 4.50 GHz Product Specifications
If you look under the Expansion Options section on the above link, you will see that the processor itself is PCIe Gen 4, but the chipset/PCH PCIe connectivity is only Gen 3.
That means a PCIe Gen 4 SSD will not run at its maximum advertised speed in a PCIe Gen 3 NVMe slot.
