Hi @James19681,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When you encounter keyboard and mouse issues after upgrading your HP Spectre AW0117na from Windows 10 to Windows 11, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure that your system is fully updated. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any pending updates. Install all available updates and restart your computer.

Device Manager:

  • Access Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices, right-click on each device, and select Update driver.

  • If updating doesn't solve the issue, try uninstalling the device driver and restarting your computer to let Windows automatically reinstall the drivers.

Check BIOS Settings:

  • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup by pressing F10 during startup.

  • Ensure that the keyboard and USB ports are enabled in the BIOS.

HP Support Assistant:

  • Use the HP Support Assistant HP Support Assistant | HP® Support to check for any drivers or updates specific to your hardware. This can help in identifying any missing or outdated drivers causing the issue.

External Devices:

  • Disconnect any unnecessary external devices and restart your computer to see if they were causing the conflict.

Check Connection Ports:

  • If you are using external peripherals, check to make sure they are firmly connected, and try using different USB ports.

Use an External Keyboard or Mouse for Troubleshooting:

  • If possible, connect an external keyboard or mouse to help navigate and troubleshoot within Windows.

System Restore:

  • If the issue persists, consider performing a system restore to revert the system to the point before the upgrade if you have created a restore point.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
