Hello,

today I updated the bios-software via Hp Support Assistant on my HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef2000 (771X4AV) (Product number 87C50EA, Serial number (Edited).

Since then (after the update) I cannot charge my computer anymore. I checked in the bios (F10) and USB charging was enabled (I even disabled it, restarted again and enabled it but still it does not work). Right now, my computer is at 15% and I cannot recharge it and I do not have enough capacity to try several options. Does anyone know how to solve that problem (maybe how to open the computer and charge the battery without using the usb port or how I can downgrade the bios-version)?

In case there is any chance the costumer service reads this: I have no idea how to reach the hp customer service. When I log in to my account online it says that the warranty for my computer is expired even though it has been extended until 24. Nov 2026 by the customer support itself (Case ID : CRM:0099605004489, confirmed via email on the 22 Jan 2025).

Thank you very much for you help

Ludwig

Hi there, I found a way to solve the problem. After the update the laptop did not charge, it did not matter which of the two USB-C ports I used. But when I took two chargers, charging both USB-C ports at the same time, the charging process started. Since then I can charge my computer like before with one charger.
