Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 6730B Laptop.  I was thinking of upgrading the CPU.  I purchased a CPU but when I went to remove the old CPU it almost seems glued to the motherboard I'ves been unable to pull it off, is there a specific trick to do so ?

Hi:

See chapter 4 of the service manual, pages 73 & 74 for how to remove and replace the processor.

Are there 2 different kinds of Motherboards on theses models because there does not seem to be a socket with a locking screw on mine...

Not that I am aware of.

If there is no unlocking screw on the socket, then I have no idea how you remove it, and I would assume that the processor is soldered to the motherboard.

I feel silly now, I think I was looking at the chipset not the ECU, will check again this afternoon.  Thanks

You have to remove the heatsink to get to the processor.
