Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am wanting to add some RAM to my notebook.  I saw that combining Samsung with Hynix Ram is not compatible.  I have Samsung installed and am wanting to add a stick of hynix.  They are both 4gb 2rx8 pc3 is there any other way to determine if they are compatible?

They should work together as long as the memory you are adding is DDR3-1333 MHz (PC3-10600) and has 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.

DDR3/L-1600 MHz memory will not work.

If that is what you have and it didn't work, then I don't know what the problem could be.
