Hi @midou2

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm really sorry you're having trouble finding the TPM 2.0 setting on your HP 15-da0025nf—it’s incredibly frustrating when you’ve tried everything and the option still doesn’t appear.

Let’s walk through how to confirm whether TPM is present and how to access it if it’s hidden.

1. Confirm TPM Presence in Windows

Before checking BIOS again, let’s verify whether your system has a TPM chip.

Steps:

  1. Press Windows + R, type tpm.msc, and press Enter.
  2. If TPM is present, you’ll see "The TPM is ready for use" and the version (look for 2.0).
  3. If you see "Compatible TPM cannot be found", continue with the steps below.

2. Update BIOS to the Latest Version

Some older BIOS versions don’t expose TPM settings clearly.

3. Access BIOS and Look for TPM Settings

Steps:

  1. Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly at startup
  2. Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup
  3. Navigate to Security > TPM Device or Advanced > Trusted Computing
  4. If found, set TPM Device to Available and TPM State to Enabled
  5. Press F10 to save and exit

If you don’t see any TPM-related options, continue below.

4. Check for TPM in Device Manager

Sometimes TPM is active but hidden from BIOS.

Steps:

  1. Press Windows + X > Device Manager
  2. Expand Security Devices
  3. Look for Trusted Platform Module 2.0

If it’s listed, TPM is active—even if BIOS doesn’t show it.

5. If TPM Is Missing Entirely

If none of the above steps reveal TPM:

  • The HP 15-da0025nf may not include a physical TPM chip
  • Some models rely on firmware-based TPM (fTPM), which may not be exposed in BIOS
  • In that case, Windows 11 may still install if other requirements are met

Let me know what you see in tpm.msc or Device Manager. You’ve already done a great job checking everything—now we’ll make sure you get a clear answer on whether TPM 2.0 is available and how to activate it.
