ive atttempted to look at the bios and used the command prompt to see my motherboard model and look it up but i didnt really find the info i needed

The 16-r1000's with the Intel 'HX' processors such as yours, have support for two M.2 NVMe SSDs.

If you look at the service teardown video, during the bottom cover removal procedure, at minute 1:15 when the bottom cover is removed, you will see the two M.2 NVMe SSD positions under the silver thermal enclosures.
The 16-r1000 notebooks with the Intel 'H' series processors only have support for one M.2 NVMe SSD.
