hello,
i have been playing games like assassins creed odyssey, cod, Black Desert online and my PC has been crashing while playing them. this has happened for some months now and i was not sure what the problem is. i noticed that my cpu is reaching temps between 90 and 100 while playing games and i think this might be the reason why it crashes. i wanted to ask if i try to open the laptop, clean it and put new thermal paste, would it void my warranty?

@vlad1111p Welcome to HP Community!
I understand you are facing an overheating issue.
If you open the laptop and apply the thermal paste. If any parts damaged. It will void the warranty.
As you have stated that the temperature reaches 100.
I would suggest you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will assist you.
Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.
