i want to add a m.2 ssd to my laptop, but the online specs states that this laptop uses m.2 sata 3. i would like to know what key would fit in this laptop weather its b, m or b+m and would an nvme ssd work in it as well and also if there's a limit as to what size can fit in it

Hi,
Have you checked in the PC (removed bottom cover) I do not believe that you have an extra slot for M2 SSD.
You can replace the 2.5" Hard Drive with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD.
On page 50 of service manual you can see how to replace the drive:
