Hi Arslan,

Usually, a dual drive configuration is not possible in laptops these days but I think your laptop does support it. I checked your Maintenance and Service Guide here and also HP's Service Media Library here for hardware upgrades.

In terms of recommendations for an M.2 SSD, there are tons. You could opt for a more expensive PCIe M.2 SSD or something like the Samsung 850 EVO M.2 SSD (which is a highly recommended SSD) here: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-850-EVO-Internal-MZ-N5E500BW/dp/B00TGIW1XG

So yes, you should be able to support a dual drive configuration but clarification from an HP Expert will help.

The answer is yes. This is exactly what I did: replacement of the original 1T0 Toshiba HDD by the SAMSUNG 960 EVO SSD.

See my post here. I also made a video with the results of the performance tests

Hey man, were you able to install the 960 evo m2 ssd into your laptop?

I have the same so just want to make sure before I buy it.
