Can someone please help me to verify that my laptop supports external GPU /eGPU ? i am an engineering student so i need a a dedicated graphics but the one i have doesn't include that. There i am looking for upgrading the GPU using external hardware.

If you read through my previous reply, you would understand that there is nothing you can do in terms of using an eGPU with that particular laptop.
You can consider either upgrading to a laptop with higher specifications or build yourself a gaming desktop PC.
Either way it will be an investment of $$$.

Unfortunately, that is unlikely.
It would have helped if you had provided the specific product number instead of the generic notebook model series identification.
15-ey0000 (54J83AV) is a generic. The tipoff is the four zeroes.
The generic series has a USB Type-C® power connector and Thunderbolt™ ports with HP Sleep and Charge and DisplayPort output (2), but it is not Gen 3 or Gen 4. USB Type-C® Thunderbolt Gen 3/4 are required for eGPU
The two USB Type-C ports on your laptop are Thunderbolt, but the data transfer rate is too low for eGPU use.
