actually i have a HP intel core-i3 laptop with 4GB RAM and it has crossed it's limits and i am facing performance issue . can you help me find the compatible RAM for my laptop, it is installed 4GB RAM showing single channel . should i buy the same company same size and frequency RAM (4gb +2400mhz) . same company RAM is not available in market and i want to add 8gb crucial company memory with 2400mhz frequency . can i add it .

Hi:

 

Yes, you can add a 4 GB Crucial memory chip in the empty memory slot and have 8 GB of memory running in dual channel mode.

 

The DDR4-2400 memory will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz because that is as fast as your notebook's processor can run the memory at.

 

If you can't find the Crucial DDR4-2400 memory, this one should also work:
