HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have (or had) an Elitebook 8560p that had a i7-3630QM in it.  Graphics went south in it and ended up getting a Elitebook 8460P with a i7-2640M,  works OK but is much slower (using it for video editing/compiling).   I can get my hands on a used 8560 with a slower processor, so my question is can I swap the 4 core processor from my burnt laptop to the used one?

the HP service and maintenance manual doesn't list the 3630 cpu as an option?   Was my original Elitebook a Frankinstein?

It definitely was a beast.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Oh, I am using Win7pro.   didn't upgrade because my editing software will not run on Win10 or newer.   Would have to spend another $1500 for the newer software.  Not worth it.
