the trackpad is up to no good.
lately it has been randomly failing and going insane.
as of posting time, here are following behaviors i've encountered:
- scrolling up and down on its own
- sensitivity gone [can't do anything]
- sensitivity through the roof [clicks on anything and everything]
- zooming in/out on page randomly
- "left click" registering as "right click"
- shaking pointer
- tap to click works but actually clicking like a button doesn't
- complete loss of control over pointer, or near loss of control
i've checked for viruses, changed sensitivity, and updated drivers. invert click is off.
need more info? feel free to tell me.

update: i've found that even after installing chipset driver, trackpad still has its minor glitches. if this happens, what i found is that you can literally just pull up synaptics touchpad in start/cortana and click "reset device." might have been a good idea to try that before, but that is another solution for people with similar issues. just putting that out there =P
