Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone. I have a laptop HP 17-cn3002ci /7P563EA. I want to install a 2.5" HDD in the laptop. What is the adapter part number? Do I also need a hard drive cage?

@MadRepairer,

According to the service manual (on pages 41-42), the hard drive cable's part number is M75893-001.

Maintenance and Service Guide

Amazon and eBay carry the cable.

See this HP video. The hard drive replacement procedure starts at 6:30. Apparently, no brackets are used to secure the hard drive to the notebook. The hard drive just sits tight in the compartment.
