I have an Elitebook 8570w with 500gb Samsung Evo ssd installed as OS drive. I would like to add an msata for additional storage (1tb is what im wanting) Does the msata slot have a max size limit on drive storage allowed in slot?

Here is the Service Manual:
mSATA mSSD is not mentioned. There is a WWAN slot that will take a mSATA form factor device (see p. 69 of the Manual).
It is reported that the system will mount an mSSD placed in this slot for storage, but it cannot be bootable. There may need to be an adjustment in the BIOS to switch from WWAN to mSSD on the slot.
1. During Boot, go into the BIOS F10 option;
2. Select system configuration;
3. Select Built-in device options;
4. scroll to MSATA;
5. Check MSATA.
There is no capacity limit.
