install or recognize ssd M.2 on HP 15-dw1xxx

please we need to know the exact model laptop you have and exactly what M.2 SSD you are trying to install. Maybe a compatibility issue but we need info to figure that out.

sure buddy. the model is `9VV89UA#ABA  with this serial number    [personal info removed]

and the model of the ssd is SK hynix SC308 SATA 256 GB

No reason in principle the SSD will not work. System should be compatible with a SATA M.2 SSD. It is a Pentium Gold budget type processor but those should be compatible with a SATA M.2 SSD. What have you tried? Where is it not working? Do you have a diagonal oriented M.2 slot above the battery and next to the cooling fan?

when I assemble the ssd on the bay, and turn the computer ON, went to BIOS and there is no way I can find the SSD recognized on the system. So also tried booting with USB windows installing on it. and when asks where to install, there is no disk to installing windows on it..

So, not know what else I can try.

p.d. the SSD was already running on a different PC , so damaged not issue, because I put it back on that PC and runs perfect

Try installing this driver when you are at the window where W10 can't find the drive.

Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver - Comet Lake/Ice Lake

Use the procedure in the discussion below to install the driver but use the driver I posted above.

If you check the box when you click on the Load Driver option, it will only include the compatible driver.
