It is a 13 years old machine. From manual of the CQ57 series (page 2), it supports 6.35-cm (2.5-in) hard drives in 9.5-mm (.37-in) and 7.0-mm (.28-in) thicknesses. Therefore you can use 500GB or 1TB of 2.5" SSD on market today such as
