Pavilion Notebook 15-cs1009np
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I've recently purchased an HP Pavilion Power 15-cs1009np. It comes with a M2 drive and an empty additional  bay for a 2.5" ssd or hdd.

I would like to know what parts do I need to connect a SSD drive (bracket / sata cable) and if there is an installation manual available.

Thanks in advance.

Antonio

Service Manual:

Manual

Start on p. 34 for bottom cover removal and see this inside:

M.2 slot circled in redM.2 slot circled in red

Mounting a 2.5 inch HDD or SSD 7 or 9.5 mm thick requires extra hardware as you apparently know.

The hard drive brackets are available using spare part number L19469-001. The hard drive cable is available using
spare part number L23889-001

These parts can be hard to find.

You should open your laptop before buying anything to be sure of how it is laid out. The picture on p. 38 for example shows a different configuration with no place for a 2.5 inch disk and you want to be sure that is not what you have. I don't think so but it pays to be sure.
