Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a ZBook and would like to upgrade the cpu. The details of my Laptop are:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.6 GB available)
Device ID: FB7373A5-FFC0-41C4-BBC0-8F0A1C87A663
Product ID: 00330-80000-00000-AA797
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64 processor
Pen and touch: Pen or touch input is not available for this display

Is it possible to change the cpu? And if so, where can I have it done in the Netherlands?

I like to hear it! Regards, **bleep**

Good question. From the following information I think it is Gen 1 (even before that) with Intel G4 processors

               https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_ZBook

From the manual http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03985204.pdf the series has Following options

  • Intel Quad Core i7-4900MQ 2.80-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.80-GHz) processor (1600-MHz FSB, 8.0-MB L3 cache, 47 W) part # 723523-002
  • Intel Quad Core i7-4800MQ 2.70-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.70-GHz) processor (1600-MHz FSB, 6.0-MB L3 cache, 47 W) part # 723524-002
  • Intel Quad Core i7-4700MQ 2.40-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.40-GHz) processor (1600-MHz FSB, 6.0-MB L3 cache, 47 W) part # 723521-002
  • Intel Quad Core i7-4600M 2.90-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.60-GHz) processor (1600-MHz FSB, 4.0-MB L3 cache, 37 W) part #  737330-002
  • Intel Dual Core i5-4330M 2.80-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.50-GHz) processor (1600-MHz FSB, 3.0-MB L3 cache, 37 W) part # 738201-002
  • Intel Dual Core i5-4300M 2.60-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.30-GHz) processor (1600-MHz FSB, 3.0-MB L3 cache, 37 W) part # 738309-002

Manual also shows you how to replace from page 93.

Regards.
