Product: HP Envy 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cw0000 (761Z0AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

internal microphone quit working on my Envy 17 TS. It might have been after a Norton 360 driver update. Hp tech support was a joke. Used remote support and the tech had no clue what he was doing. They wanted me to do Cloud backup, wipe the hard drive, and reinstall Windows, all my apps, browser bookmarks, and restore my data files. Not an option.....

 

Why can't tech support identify the problem and fix it. The microphone is not recognized by the OS or troubleshooter..... There are many people with the same problem also.....
