Yes it does. Start on p. 37 of the Service Manual here:

Manual

Inside you see this:

M.2 slot in red circleM.2 slot in red circle

A PCie/NVME 2280 form factor M.2 SSD is compatible.

No other restrictions. Install this disk and you do need to move Windows to the NVME M.2 but we can help with that.

Thanks @ Huffur

For the solution.

I have an another doubt on Dual storage configuration in manual that shows some limitations on it.

Dual-storage FonƭgurDtions
● 2-TB, 5400-rpm, 9.5-/7.2-mm hard drive + 128-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3, TLC solid-state drive
● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, 9.5-/7.2-mm hard drive + 256-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3, TLC solid-state drive
● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, 9.5-/7.2-mm hard drive + 256-GB, PCIe solid-state drive
● 1-TB, 5400-rpm, 9.5-/7.2-mm hard drive + 128-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3, TLC solid-state drive.

What about the above details from the manual?

Guys, I really do need help with this. When I went to the store where I bought my HP Pavilion-15cc-129tx laptop, I was told that I cannot use a m.2 slot for ssd. They told me that I don't have an m.2 slot for installing an ssd. But when I saw the guide for the 15 pavilion series I have found the same which was mentioned as solution. I insisted them to confirm whether I really don't have an m.2 slot. They have told me that for sure I don't have it. Can someone confirm whether I can depend on user guide or get it checked at the HP Service Center? Karthik, can you tell me whether this laptop has an ssd or not as you might have got it installed by this time?(if you have seen this message)

The only way to know for sure is to open it up and look. There is no reliable list of which models have it and which do not. Since yours is an i5 8th gen system I say odds are strong it has such a slot but I am not 100% sure.

Yes. The ones with i7 have slot for sure. They have confirmed that. They told me that i5 laptops does not have. Actually my problem is that laptop on switching on, nowadays, it takes around 4 mins to get settled and start working normally. Sometimes it does even take more than that. So, I thought having an ssd for operating system would work better. I finally want to conclude that if there are any such differences between the versions it should be listed in the manuals so that customers does not face any problem.
