If you have a dv7-6c95dx watch this video for how to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11 on unsupported hardware:

If that doesn't work, you can clean install W11 by making a bootable USB flash drive with Rufus that bypasses the W11 hardware checks:

You need to set the Rufus partition scheme to MBR because your notebook does not support booting from a UEFI boot source,

Hi! am Shema, I saw your post about upgrading to Windows 11, and I can definitely help you explore your options. A quick question before we dig into solutions:

  • Have you already checked the BIOS/UEFI settings to see if UEFI boot mode is available on your HP Pavilion dv7-95dx?

  • Do you know what model and BIOS version your system is running?

  • Are you open to using tools like Rufus to create a bootable USB that bypasses Windows 11 hardware checks?

Many older Pavilion dv7 models don’t support UEFI booting, so we might need to work around that limitation with an MBR-based USB installer.
