Hi:
Yes, replacing the 4 GB DDR3L-1600 memory chip with an 8 GB DDR3L memory chip would make an improvement.
What would make the best improvement would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).
Or better still...do both.
