hi there, i have new hp laptop pavilion bc408 tx. in this laptop i found the new problem recently just after i baught the laptop. when i keep my laptop on the battery power then as the battery power starts decreasing near 50 percent then my keyboard LED starts blinking slowly. i have tried to find out whether it blinks on BIOS (F10 on startup) screen but there it doesnt blink. but when i load the windows it starts automatically blink or we can say flickering on battery power. what is this problem actually i am not getting it. as even i tried to update the keyboard drivers from HP site, even then it continued blinking on battery power. even i reset my laptop but had no effect. last try i had that i did hard reset my laptop even then it had no effects on this problem. as keyboard backlight LED keeps blinking continueously.........what is the thing going on i am really not getting.

Thanks for engaging in the HP community A very good day to you. I will be glad to assist you and let’s get right to it. Great deductions and splendid presentation of the issue. It is amply appreciated.
Let me gather some information for better clarity to assist you correctly:
- Did you try updating the bios?
I will be providing a roadmap with some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. Let us try these steps:
- Please update the bios from http://hp.com/drivers and follow the on-screen instructions to update the bios.
Reload setup defaults by trying these steps:
- Go to the bios page and load bios defaults.
- To do this, please keep tapping the Esc key gently several times as soon as you power on the computer.
- It takes you to the startup menu.
- Then press the F10 key to go the bios.
- Then press the F9 key to load setup defaults and select yes and push “enter.”
- Then press F10 to save changes and exit
Now check if the issue gets resolved. If it continues, then there is more to it than meets the eye as you’ve reset the operating system also. The notebook needs to be repaired. I will send you a private message to assist you with the next course of action.
Check your forum private message box in the upper right corner next to the bell icon.
Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
