There was a backlit keyboard option on that model series, but replacing the keyboard is a much bigger job than it seems it would be. The keyboard is embedded in the top cover so it is not a separate part and to quote from the service manual:
The top cover/keyboard spare part remains after all other spare parts have been removed.
That means the laptop has to be entirely disassembled and then reassembled onto a new top cover. It's a big job that is essentially the same as how the laptop is assembled in the factory. Not cheap or easy to do. But if you want to try it we can likely find you a backlit top cover and an instruction manual. Thanks.
