@bbbb98, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Keyboard Issues on HP Victus Laptops!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Victus laptop keyboard is not working and the F11 key is illuminated, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check Keyboard Attachment and Sync:

  • If you're using a detachable or wireless keyboard, ensure it's properly connected or synced with the laptop.

Restart the Laptop:

  • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Click "Start" on the taskbar, select "Power," and then click "Restart."

Disable Keyboard Lock Features:

  • Some HP laptops have features to lock or disable keyboard input, which may be indicated by the F11 key (speaker mute key) being illuminated. Ensure no lock is engaged by holding down the key for a few seconds.

Check for Updates:

  • Updates can fix bugs causing hardware issues. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and check for any pending updates.

Driver Reinstallation:

  • Consider reinstalling the keyboard driver. Right-click "Start," select "Device Manager," expand "Keyboards," right-click on your keyboard device, and select "Uninstall device." Restart your laptop to allow Windows to reinstall the driver.

Perform a System Restore:

  • If the problem persists, consider performing a system restore to revert to a point where the keyboard was functioning correctly. Search for "Create a restore point" in the search bar > click on "System Restore" > follow the prompts.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
