Welcome to the HP Community --

All of these issues could be caused by a bloated and / or failing battery.

If the battery is bloated, for example, it might be pressing on other parts and causing them to stop working.

If the computer is in Warranty, contact HP Support.

If the computer is not in Warranty, decide how to move forward.

For example,

If you have not done so, create a battery report and check the results or run the hardware diagnostics > test the battery

Open the computer case and check the battery and other components for visible damage.

If the battery will be replaced, continue...

Use the Service and Maintenance guide -- or a visual inspection of the battery -- find the battery part number.

Read the battery replacement procedure.

Find and watch a YouTube video about how to replace the battery.

Decide who will replace the battery.

Use the part number to find and purchase a compatible battery from a merchant in your region.

Complete the task of replacing the battery.

Too much?  Can't do it?  Hands in the air?

Take the computer to a local technician and have it checked.

"Fat" Battery / Bloated Battery / Swollen Battery – Sealed / Internal Battery

Swollen battery might be hiding OR there might be evidence that the battery has inflated. For example, notebook case warps or won’t close, touch-pad stops working, “odd” bulging near the keyboard.

If the battery is in a swollen or bloated condition, the battery must be removed from the computer and replaced. There are no other remedies, tests, or useful options.
