Hi @Lewispa,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP 15.6" Laptop PC 15-e2000 keyboard stopped working after a recent Windows 11 update. You're not alone—this can happen due to driver conflicts or system settings being altered during the update. Please disconnect the Wireless keyboard and try the steps on how to fix it:

1. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

This will test if the keyboard hardware is functioning:

  • Press Esc repeatedly while turning on the laptop to open the Startup Menu.
  • Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Select Component Tests > Keyboard and follow the prompts.

2. Check for Filter Keys

Sometimes Windows enables accessibility features that interfere with typing.

  • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard.
  • Turn Filter Keys off.

3. Reinstall the Keyboard Driver

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and choose Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
