Hello, after bios update to F.32 some keys do not work. External keyboard works fine. I updated to F.35 as I could not roll back but the sam problem remains. I appreciate your help.

Hi @Eftymios,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

If your laptop's keyboard is not functioning correctly after a BIOS update to version F.32 or F.35, but an external keyboard works fine, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Reset BIOS to Default Settings:

  • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup. This can usually be done by pressing Esc or F10 repeatedly right after turning on your computer.
  • Once in the BIOS setup, look for an option to load default settings (often listed as "Load Setup Defaults", "Reset BIOS Settings", or similar).
  • Save the changes and exit the BIOS.

Update Keyboard Driver:

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Keyboards category, right-click your internal keyboard device, and select Update driver.

Reinstall Keyboard Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click the keyboard again and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer to allow Windows to reinstall the driver.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off your computer completely.
  • Disconnect any peripherals connected to your device.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.

Take care and have an amazing day!
