Hi @xristinaxara,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Does this issue happen only after the service, or were some keys already not working before?
  • Are all keys non-functional, or just certain ones?
  • Is your laptop under warranty, and did HP provide any service report or notes about the repair?
  • Have you tried an external USB keyboard to confirm that Windows is responding normally to input?
  • Are you on Windows 10 or 11?

Troubleshooting steps to try remotely

1. Check for software/driver issues

  • Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Keyboards
  • Right-click your keyboard → Uninstall device, then Restart
  • Windows should reinstall the default driver automatically

2. Test the keyboard with an external app

  • Open Notepad or any text editor
  • Press each key to see which ones respond
  • This helps distinguish hardware failure from a driver/software issue

3. Run the HP Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Shut down your laptop
  2. Press Esc → F2 at boot to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
  3. Select Keyboard Test and run it
  4. Note which keys fail .

I hope this helps.
