Merry christmas lovely people. I would like to know how to fix the keyboard dying for this fixed keyboard. At present function keys are affected due to battery swelling as I can see the trackpad swollen and coming out. Battery is right under the trackpad. So I have attached a mouse and I work with it. I ran the diagnostics and HP assistant found a problem in mous emovemebt sensor. All of the rest are perfect even battery is functioning normal. I could not test the keyboard as I had to press the fn plus their numbers for virtual keyboard to run this repair by HP Assistant.
So I think if I replace the battery I might salvage the keyboard. Keyboard is attached to the screen with 2 strong hinges. However, if the battery replacement does not fix the keyboard what are my options? Please help.
Out of warranty and HP wont repair. I have no HP authorised repair centres upto 60 miles from where I live.

Replace the battery and let's see if that fixes the issue. If not you are going to have to replace other components and that is not easy or inexpensive to do. Let us know if you need help with battery replacement.
