hi, i am english and live in greece, just bought a new HP of the amazon german (english) site, when the item was delivered i realised i had made a mistake as the keyboard is german, my question is this, could it be a simple remedy by just changing the key board to an english qwerty board, ?????

Yes, you can change the actual keyboard on the computer and it will work if you change the layout to English in the operating system as well.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can change the keyboard layout on your computer.

 

I’d love to help!

 

I would like to inform you that you can the keyboard layout on your computer to English. Here is what you need to do change the language.

 

The first thing we need to do is launch the classic Control Panel, you can do this by pressing the Win + R keyboard combination and selecting Control Panel from the context menu.

To save a few clicks, switch to the Small icons view.

Then go ahead and select the new Language option.

On the right-hand side you will see an options hyperlink, click on it.

It is over here that you will be able to add and remove keyboard layouts.

Sorry friend this is not the problem, its the actual keys on the keyboard, the actual keys are for german speaking, what i kneeded to know was can i physicaly take it apart and put in an actual english keyboard, i suppose i could with no problem, but ??? Would an english keyboard work on the system ???

No problem friend, i will try and seek out further infomation as HP support say its not possible as my model is only sold in germany, but is suspect all keyboards are interchangable, i will check out the part numbers. Thanks.
