@SS_1004, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Keyboard Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If some keys on your HP keyboard are not working, you can follow these troubleshooting steps to identify and potentially resolve the issue:

Check Connection:

  • Ensure your keyboard is properly connected to the computer. If you are using a wireless keyboard, check the battery levels and ensure the receiver is correctly plugged in.

Reboot Your Computer:

  • Sometimes, rebooting your computer can fix minor software glitches. Shut down and restart your computer to see if this resolves the issue.

Clean the Keyboard:

  • Dirt and debris under the keys can affect the functionality. Use compressed air to blow dust away or gently clean the keys with a soft cloth.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Outdated or corrupted drivers may cause keyboard issues. Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your keyboard model. You can also uninstall the existing keyboard drivers and allow your operating system to reinstall them.

Check Keyboard Settings:

  • Verify that the keyboard settings are correctly configured. You can do this in the control panel under "Keyboard" settings, making sure everything is set up as per your usage.

Run a Hardware Diagnostic:

  • HP provides built-in hardware diagnostics that can help identify issues with any HP hardware component, including keyboards. Search for and run the HP Hardware Diagnostics tool on your computer.

Test with Another Keyboard:

  • If possible, test with another keyboard to determine whether the issue is with the keyboard itself or with the computer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
