Hi @Ab3241,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out to HP Support. I understand how frustrating it can be to experience sticky keys after servicing, and I’m here to help you resolve this issue.

Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check for Physical Debris or Residue

  • Turn off your laptop and disconnect the charger.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) to gently clean around the affected keys.
  • If any key feels stuck, lightly press and release it several times to check if it loosens.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Power off your laptop.
  • Hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Turn it back on and test the keyboard.

3. Check for Software Issues

  • Open Device Manager (Press Windows + X > Select Device Manager).
  • Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard driver, and select Uninstall Device.
  • Restart your laptop—Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

4. Extensive Test -

  • Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  • Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  • On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
  • Click Extensive Test.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
