Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i was wondering why my HP Pavilion laptop, Automatically updated the Bios. (the laptop automatically updated the Bios on its own) without my permission. I have never seen or heared a loptop automatically updating the Bios on its own.

what if this update causes functionality issue on my laptop. Any help or advice please.

Are you noticing any problems? Actually BIOS can be updated either by HP Support Assistant or sometimes by Windows Update. HP thoroughly tested the update and would not have issued it unless it resolved some issue. You are at more risk of poor performance from failing to do a BIOS update than from doing one.
