HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab220tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop battery is 1 year and 1 months old. From past 1 week it is behaving abruptly.

Firstly , it is not charging above 98% no matter how long do i put it into chaging,

secondly , even though it is working normally and gives more than 2 and 1/2 hrs till it gets to 20 % but after battery low warning it dischages very rapidly and abruptly , after final 10 % warning  the laptop do not even sleeps/hibernate but rather competely  force shut downs.

In both hp support assistant and hp diagnostic tools uefi , it shows that battery is normal.

I've tried removing the battery , pressing the power  button for more than  6o seconds and reinserting the battery again  , also I've tried unistalling microssft surface ACPI -Control method battery and restarting the laptop , still the problem persists

Hello @mayank_dobriyal .
Have you tried to calibrate the battery?

i have tried the calibrate steps that were shown in hp site/video i.e  using hp diagnotic(uefi) tool memory test until error loop on boot time  until the laptop shuts down on its own , then charging the laptop till its full (still the laptop does not charges above 98%)

The power drain is suitable for a hardware restart or hard reset to be performed, and this does not erase personal information.
Many boot errors and other problems can be solved by decreasing the stored energy in the hardware components. This procedure of reducing stored energy is also known as a hard reset.
o Turn off the computer.
o Disconnect the computer from any port replicators or docking stations.
o Disconnect all peripheral devices, such as USB storage devices, external displays, or printers.
o Disconnect the AC adapter from the computer.
o Turn the computer over and look for the battery compartment door to determine whether or not your computer's battery is removable.
o Now to consume any residual electrical charge from the capacitors protecting the memory, perform the following as it is the basics of this:
If you see an access door to the battery compartment, your equipment has a removable battery. Remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, reinsert the battery back into the compartment and proceed to the next step.
If you do not see any access door to the battery compartment, your computer does not have a removable battery. On most laptops with a non-removable battery, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to complete the restart and proceed to the next step. 1. Reconnect the AC adapter to the computer, but do not connect any peripheral devices.
2. Turn on the computer.
If a startup menu opens, use the arrow keys to select Start Windows normally and then press enter.
3. Once the peripheral devices are connected, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all drivers and the system.

@GOLD_MASTER

I have tried the mentioned steps , still the problem is not resolved. I also tried battery testing using HP DIagnostic tool UEFI , in which the battery test passed but there was an option for battery calibration , when I tried selecting it , it gave an error that automatic battery calibration is not supported by your device

From what you have mentioned, it is very possible that the battery you got was generic and of very poor quality because of the poor performance it has been exhibiting.
