Hi @Gael456,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The white light blinking on your HP Envy x360 15 laptop when charging typically indicates a power or charging issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Unplug the power adapter from the laptop.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try turning on the laptop.
Check for Power Supply Issues
- Use a different charger if available, to rule out a faulty adapter.
- Check the charging port for any visible damage or debris that might be causing a poor connection.
Test Without the Battery
- If your laptop’s battery is removable, try the following:
- Remove the battery and plug in the charger without the battery.
- Try to power on the laptop with just the charger connected.
Inspect the LED Blinking Pattern
- Count the number of blinks in the light if it follows a specific pattern. HP laptops use a blink code system to indicate hardware issues (e.g., memory, processor, motherboard). If you notice a consistent blink code, you can look it up in the HP support documentation.
Check for Overheating
- If your laptop was running hot previously, it might have shut down due to overheating. Allow it to cool for a few minutes, then try turning it on again.
Try a Different Power Outlet
- Sometimes, the issue could be with the power source. Try plugging your charger into a different wall outlet.
Test with an External Monitor (Optional)
- If you suspect the issue might be with the display, try connecting the laptop to an external monitor to see if anything shows up.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
