Hello, I have a HP PROBOOK 440 G5, recently it fall down from my desk (stupid me) and a peace broke (see joint pictures). do I have to replace the whole thing? or I can keep using it like this? and if I have to replace where can I get it? thank you in advance

Hi,

You do not have to replace the base enclosure. You could continue using it as it is.

Do not cover the "hole" with a sticker or anything as it is the air out the vent. It is where the fan blows air out through the "radiator" of the heatsink. So if you cover it, it needs to be with a grill kind of thing.

 

The part number for the base enclosure is L01090-001

You can search online with the part number. It is not an easy fix either. You need to dismantle the entire notebook and place all the parts in the new base enclosure.
