Hi, I’m facing an issue with my HP laptop. The fan is spinning at a very high speed, making a loud noise, and the device is also vibrating while in use. It’s becoming difficult to work due to the constant sound. Please let me know how to get this checked or repaired.

Hi @callmejohnny

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That sounds incredibly disruptive—especially when the fan noise and vibration make it hard to focus or even enjoy the laptop. It’s often tied to either thermal management, fan calibration, or even mechanical imbalance.

🔧 What You Can Try First

Run HP Diagnostics

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc, then F2 to launch HP UEFI Diagnostics
  • Run the System Test and Fan Test to check for hardware faults

Update BIOS and Drivers

  • Visit the HP Victus 15-fa0000 support page
  • Install the latest BIOS, chipset, and thermal management drivers
  • These updates often include fan curve adjustments and bug fixes

Check HP OMEN Gaming Hub

  • Open the OMEN Gaming Hub (preinstalled or downloadable from Microsoft Store)
  • Go to Performance Control > Thermal Settings
  • Try switching to Quiet Mode or Balanced Mode to reduce fan speed

Inspect for Physical Vibration

  • If the vibration feels mechanical (like a wobble), the fan may be misaligned or unbalanced
  • In that case, a technician may need to reseat or replace the fan assembly

Let me know how it responds after trying the software fixes.  You deserve a gaming laptop that performs without sounding like a jet engine 🚀.
