@Anmol_1825, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Thanks for the detailed description. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to fix the issue:

Basic Checks

Confirm the charger is HP original (or HP-certified). You mentioned trying another charger — ensure it has the same wattage.

Check the power port for debris or looseness.

Confirm the charging light on the laptop is on when plugged in.

Perform a Hard Reset (Power Reset)

Shut down the laptop.

Unplug the charger.

Remove the battery (if removable).

Press and hold the power button for 15–30 seconds.

Reconnect the battery and charger.

Turn on the laptop and check if it charges.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics (Battery Test)

Even if it showed “battery is OK” before, run it again to reconfirm.

Shut down the laptop.

Turn it on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then press F2 to open HP Diagnostics.

Select Component Tests > Power > Battery.

Run the battery test.

Reset Battery Drivers (in Windows)

Corrupt power drivers can cause the issue.

Right-click Start > Device Manager.

Expand Batteries.

Right-click on the following and select Uninstall:

Microsoft AC Adapter

Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery

Do NOT restart yet.

Plug in your charger.

Now restart the laptop.

Windows will reinstall the drivers automatically.

Update BIOS & Chipset Drivers (from HP Support)

Go to HP Support - Software & Driver Downloads.

Enter your laptop's Serial Number or Model.

Download and install:

Latest BIOS update

Chipset drivers

Any Battery Management firmware, if available.

Restart the laptop after updating.

Try HP Battery Calibration

You may refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Testing and calibrating the battery (Windows) | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
