hp pavilion 15 p018tx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

hello there,

I have a hp pavilion 15 p018tx came with 4GB A Data technology DDR3L 1600mhz ram now I upgraded with additional 4GB Micron technology DD3L 1600mhz ram after upgrading ram my laptop it self restarts initially I thought that this could possibly a windows bug of some sort I installed a fresh windows still facing the same issue, I ran memory diagnostics test 3 times on standard it passed all tests no error detected the only think I noticed is whenever I am trying to do things which takes cpu power it gets restart yesterday I played 4k video on youtube to give some stress to cpu to really check if it can bear the stress and suddenly it got restarted today I just played some random 720p video and it got restarted some times it shows blue screen error " unexpected kernel mode trap " the other is " system service exception" and sometimes it just suddenly restarts without blue screen I have ran chkdsk , sfc both showed positive results and all the other drivers are working fine so I am a bit confused and stress here what could be the reason ? one of my friend told me to update bios just incase may be this resolves the issue but I don't wana do anything silly which cause more trouble ? sorry for my bad english

thanks in advance

Definitely they are NOT compatible. You may be able to run them separately but not at the same time. Now, please buy same RAM as existing piece.
