Hello there,

I just purchase a hp 15-bs162sa 15.6" and would like to upgrade the ram.

At the moment there is one 4G , I understand I could plug in another 4G to upgrade to 8G.

My question is : can I plug another 8G into the other slot andmake it 12G RAM in total?

Regards

Jing

Hi Jing,

Yes you can insert 8GB in the other slot and bring the total to 12GB without any problem.

Your PC supports max 16GB of DDR4 2400Mhz RAM (2x8GB)

This is what the system has been tested with, HP DDR4 systems will probably run with 32GB of RAM (2x16GB) so you can have further upgrades in the future.

On page 54 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM

Hope it helps,

Could you link me to some acceptable parts? Or the specifics I should be looking for
