My laptop is under warranty.does opening the back cover to add memory and hdd void the warranty?

HP PCs - Damage Not Covered by the HP Standard Limited Warranty | HP® Customer Support

If you don't break anything no problem
If you break something, during, or following the replacement, then the warranty may indeed be void..
In case of return under warranty, the computer should be in its original configuration
It is therefore necessary to keep the original elements if replaced
